Cookie statement

This website is deliberately built without tracking, marketing or analytics cookies. Below, in plain language, is what cookies are, what this site does and does not use, and what happens if that ever changes.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website can place on your device. Similar techniques, such as local storage or tracking pixels, do much the same thing: store or read information on your device. Under the Dutch Telecommunications Act and the GDPR, non-essential cookies require prior consent.

2. What this website uses

This website places no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and uses no social media pixels or comparable tracking techniques. There is therefore no cookie banner: there is nothing to choose that would require consent.

3. Language choice without a cookie

The switch between English and Dutch works through the URL (for example /nl/privacy versus /privacy). No cookie is needed to remember your language preference.

4. Strictly necessary technology

To deliver pages securely and reliably, the framework or hosting environment may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms, for example for security or load balancing. Strictly necessary functionality does not require consent, but visitors should still be informed about it — hence this note. It is not used to track you or build a profile.

5. Server logs

Separately from cookies, the hosting environment processes technical log data when you request a page. The privacy statement explains this in more detail.

6. Future changes

If analytics, marketing, embedded video or other non-essential cookies are added later, this statement and a suitable consent mechanism will be updated and activated first, before those techniques are put to use.

7. Managing cookies

You can always view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because this website sets no non-essential cookies, doing so has almost no effect on how it works here.
